Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Environment-Society Relations

The Département de géographie is seeking
applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank
of Assistant Professor in human geography addressing
environment-society relations. The research interests of
potential candidates could include, but are not limited to,
diverse aspects of environmental geography, such as: political
ecology, environmental change and the geography of resources
and territorial conflict. The Department encourages research
addressing international contexts.

Responsibilities: The appointed candidate will
be expected to teach at all three levels of the curriculum,
supervise graduate students, engage in ongoing research and
publication, and contribute to the academic life and
reputation of the University.

Requirements:

Ph.D. in Geography or in a related discipline

Publications in journals of international standing

Teaching experience

Interest and ability to work in a collaborative setting

Proficiency in the French language

a curriculum vitæ

copies of recent publications and research

a statement of teaching philosophy and interests (two
page maximum)

a statement of research interests (two page maximum)

Three letters of recommendation are also to be sent
directly to the Department Chair by the referees.
