Visiting Assistant Professor Position,
Department of Geological Sciences, SUNY

The SUNY Geneseo Department
of Geological Sciences invites applications for a one-year
visiting assistant professor position beginning in August 2016.
The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching
introductory level physical geology courses (including labs) and
upper level undergraduate elective(s) in the Geological
Sciences. Preference will be given to those candidates who can
offer upper level undergraduate classes that compliment existing
course offerings. A demonstrated potential for excellence in
undergraduate education is essential. While the focus of this
position is teaching, the candidate is strongly encouraged to
conduct research with the involvement of undergraduates.
Candidates are required to have a PhD or be ABD
in the Geological Sciences at the time of appointment, however
those with a PhD are preferred.
