Please Post:

POSITION: The Department of Geosciences seeks a post-doctoral associate to investigate distributary channel network dynamics and related scales of heterogeneity in river delta stratigraphy. The position is funded through the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Basic Energy Sciences. The post-doc will be directed by Dr. John Shaw at the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville (UA). The position is for one year, with an option for renewal for a second year with sufficient progress.

In all of this work, the post-doc will interact closely with the Dr. Shaw, a graduate student, and other research groups at UA.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have a doctoral degree in geology, physics, or civil engineering. Applicants with previous experience with river delta stratigraphy and sedimentation, numerical modeling, or statistical analysis are encouraged to apply.
