Lecturer/Assistant Professor of Geography

Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in the UCD School of Geography. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to incorporate geospatial methodologies (e.g. Geographic Information Systems, remote sensing, geospatial technologies, citizen science and crowd-sourcing) into their research and teaching. However, the substantive research area could be in any area of Human/Physical/Environmental geography.
Applicants must have a PhD in Geography or an allied field, a strong, demonstrable commitment to research and publication, an ability to teach at University level, a capacity for graduate student supervision, excellent interpersonal skills, and a willingness to work with colleagues who have diverse interests but share the common goal of improving the standing of Geography in Ireland and globally.
Lecturer/Assistant Professor (above the bar) Scale: €50,807 – €76,936 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
