I am looking for a Ph.D. student to be a part of a revolutionary new approach to graduate education in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Iowa: the Sustainable Water Development (SWD) Graduate Program. My research group is looking for Ph.D. students interested in the broad topics of hydrology and hydroclimatology. Of particular interest is the examination of extreme hydrometeorological events (e.g., heavy precipitation, flooding), their attribution, their predictability and projected changes, and their economic impacts.
