PhD Post in 3D Reconstruction and Immersive Visualisation of Geomorphology

Dear Colleagues,

We are advertising a PhD position at Edge Hill University (NW England) as part of an on-going collaboration between the departments of Computer Sciences and Geography. The PhD is fully funded through the GTA Scheme
at EHU and welcomes applications from national and international students.  

The candidate will work with a team of computer scientists and geomorphologists on the development of 3D reconstruction of large terrain methods. These include the implementation of improved methods, e.g., structure-from-motion,
multi-view stereo, and surface reconstruction augmented with cutting-edge Deep Learning methods, to process data from multi-sources to reconstruct 3D terrains.
