Dear Friends,
1 March deadline:
GSA International also solicits nominations for the James B. Thompson Jr International Lectureship. We seek a North American lecturer to tour outside of North America and a non-North American lecturer to tour North America. Nominees should be BOTH distinguished scientists and exceptional speakers. These lectureship schedules are very flexible, but nonetheless represent a substantial time commitment (~ 6 weeks, commonly divided into two trips). So, be sure to check with any potential nominees beforehand. Self-nominations are also accepted. This year’s lectures are Holly Michaels (U. Deleware USA) and Manfred Strecker (U. Potsdam, Germany). Past lecturers and a link to make nominations can be found here: http://bit.ly/2HoPhho
The deadline is not far away, so now’s the time to nominate!
Please note that the same deadline pertains to GSA International Distinguished Career award – for which we are also soliciting nominations.
1 March deadline:

Past recipients and a link to make nominations can be found here: http://bit.ly/2RRpse1
Thank you for your forthcoming nominations!
Doug Burbank
PS. If you have questions about these awards or nominations, I will try to answer them.
