The Department of Geography at NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology) in Trondheim, Norway, has an opening for a 3-year, fully-funded PhD
position. The successful PhD candidate will map microplastics along river-to-sea and sea ice-to-coastal pathways in Norway and Svalbard. The aim of the project is to develop a better understanding of natural transport processes and sinks for microplastics
in these environments, specifically: why and how are microplastics removed from the water surface, where are they stored, and for how long?
